Family, parents,
children… What do you associate with these words? There are such pictures in my
imagination as home, care, smile and, of course, LOVE.
There is a story
about Sam Dawson who has the mental capacity of a 7-year-old and about his
small, but very clever daughter Lucy Diamond. Everything would be good, but as Lucy reaches
age 7, Sam's limitations start to become a problem for Lucy’s education. She is
intentionally holding back her abilities to avoid looking smarter than him.
They show us great love of father and daughter, which is not have even a
full-fledged family. But there is one big problem, the authorities take Lucy
away, and Sam shames high-priced lawyer Rita Harrison into taking his case pro
bono. It looks unbelievable to win the case in court, but the foster family of Lucy
realizes, that they cannot give her the love that gives her father.
At the end, Lucy
and Sam are happy and now they live together. Moreover, Sam help Rita to
realize, that she needs more than her job and money, he teaches her a great deal about love, and
whether it's really all you need.
As for me, it is
the best film that I had ever seen. The boundless LOVE which the story shows us
very amazing and you feel great emotions when you are watching it. I think it
doesn’t matter who you are. All people are able to love in spite of their
mental and physical abilities. The problems of education, up-bringing and pubescence
are can be solved in our time, even for free. If your child since the birth
belongs to you heart and soul, nobody will be able to take him away from you.
This film teaches us to understand these easy rules of life and love.
